The weather in California has being beautiful in recent days without a doubt. Spring has definitely being kind to us in the southern side of the state. For this reason I felt inspire to share an idea of how to spend time outdoors. Whether it be with family, friends, a significant other or even the kids. Recently while shopping at Grocery Outlet I had a brilliant idea! By now I’m sure you have guess the idea which is how to plan the best picnic while on a budget.
What Will You Need:
- Blanket
- Picnic Basket
- Utensils
- Napkins
- Plates
- Manifesto Wine
Above I made a checklist of the essentials that are needed to go out for a picnic anywhere. Of course I understand planning a picnic can get out of budget and become stressful. Therefore I wanted to create a recipe that was easy, delicious, and budget friendly. A salad is one of the most affordable recipes that I know of.
Chicken Salad Ingredients:
- Leaf Lettuce
- Blue Cheese
- Plain Greek Yogurt
- Roasted Chicken
- Seedless Red Grapes
- Walnuts
- Chives
Given that staying on a budget is a priority don’t forget to stop by your local Grocery Outlet when shopping for the ingredients. I was able to find all the ingredients at such an affordable price when compared to nearby grocery stores. - Plan a hike and bring the picnic with you
- Bring along a board game or a Frisbee
Equipped with your picnic basket and items you’ll need, your ready to go. Now all that’s left is picking a place to spread out the picnic at. Consider recreational parks, mountains, a local park or even the comfort of your own backyard. Lastly sit back and relax!
