Grocery Outlet, the nation’s largest grocery extreme value retailer, launched a new store in Gardnerville, Nevada. The store kicked off its opening with a public grand opening event on Saturday, August 2nd.
Locally-based owner operator Kevin Talley is excited to bring the store’s great bargains to the Gardnerville community. In food retail for nearly 40 years, Talley has an extensive background in the grocery industry. After working at Safeway for 31 years, he decided to open a Grocery Outlet to get back to the heart of why he is passionate about the grocery industry—the people and the community he serves. Leveraging his experience and training, Talley is thrilled to introduce the new Grocery Outlet location into the community.
“I take pride in giving back to the community by opening this new Grocery Outlet location,” said Talley. “I am honored to offer high quality products at affordable prices to shoppers, create new jobs for local residents, and give back to local nonprofits and organizations to help those in need.”
Talley recently held a job fair where he interviewed over 200 applicants. He filled 40 positions and is currently fully staffed for the store opening.
